TEXAPORE AIR
TEXAPORE AIR represents a whole new level of comfort in rain apparel. Up to now, air impermeability has always set clear limitations for waterproof materials. However, we have developed a weather protection technology, TEXAPORE AIR, which is air-permeable and thus dynamically breathable. And its breathability increases as the wearer becomes more active. As a result, TEXAPORE AIR offers a level of comfort similar to that of a softshell.
Benefits
TEXAPORE AIR is of course waterproof and windproof, yet still air-permeable, allowing for continuous air circulation through the material as well as supporting and even intensifying breathability (transport of moisture vapour).
As such, whilst water vapour permeability of traditional waterproof and breathable materials remains the same, TEXAPORE AIR’s level of breathability increases the more you move. That is what we call “dynamic breathability”.
Technology
The coating/membrane of the TEXAPORE AIR acts as a filter: rain is trapped outside, whilst moist, warm air is released continuously and replaced by fresh air. Wind and the pump effect resulting from the body’s natural movement initiate the exchange of air, which explains why breathability increases the more you move. The two performance levels of TEXAPORE AIR vary in terms of design and breathability values.
