How does the FWF verify the company's performance?
Since 2008, FWF staff has visited the headquarters of each affiliated company’s CSR programme to audit its progress in upholding its FWF obligations. During these management system audits (MSAs), FWF staff reviews company documentation and databases, interviews staff, and, where possible, tests company systems.
Using this information, FWF staff assesses the extent of meaningful improvements to internal systems and the results/achievements of these systems. Requirements and recommendations for improvement are also provided and can assist companies in shaping their compliance plans for the coming year. In 2009, FWF staff began publishing the outcomes of MSAs. The MSA report of Jack Wolfskin was first published in July 2011.
