We are a participant in eBay's VeRO (Verified Rights Owners) programme. This means that both Jack Wolfskin and eBay are committed to preventing infringements of  intellectual property rights by bogus listings on eBay.

This is why eBay created the VeRO programme in the first place. The programme aims to ensure that the intellectual property rights (such as copyright, trademark or patent rights) of the legitimate rights owners are respected. Under the terms of the VeRO programme, a listing may be removed from eBay if it breaches one of the stated policies and legal proceedings may be taken against the trader.

"Jack Wolfskin" is a fictional character.
He was not invented by an advertising agency but was an "in-house" creation, the product of the collective imagination of the people who work for our company.

The name dates back many years to a camp fire in Canada. It was inspired by the distant howling of the wolves, with a little bit of the spirit of Jack London's "Call of the Wild" thrown in for good measure.

TV SPOT

The current Jack Wolfskin collection will be advertised on TV once again this winter with a brand-new ad, which will be accompanied by a new cover version of the well-known song “Devil in the Details”. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the South Tyrolean Dolomites, the ad aims to get people enthusiastic about getting active in the great outdoors – no matter whether the sun is shining, the sky is cloudy, the temperatures are below zero or the wind and rain are giving it their all.

The breathtaking Dolomites – the filming locations

Just like the last advert, the new TV ad was filmed in the Dolomites, or, more precisely, between Wolkenstein and Cortina d'Ampezzo. The path from Grödnerjoch via the Cir peaks towards Puezhütte and through the Langental/Vallunga passes many of the locations for our film shoot:

    • Start: The route leads from the Travernanzes Valley to the Lagazoui, with the Tofana di Roces behind. The Alta Via 1 between Fanes and Lagazoui gives a wonderful view onto an idyllic valley with a stream and lakes, approx. 1/2 hour on the path above the Faneshütte.
    • The Fanes waterfalls can be reached by the via ferrata Scala del Minighel in the Travenanzes Valley, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
    • The boulder shots are from the “Città del Sassi” (city of stones) below the Langkofel on the Sella Pass.
    • The aerial views show the peaks of the Sceda and the Geisslerspitzen peaks against the light.
    • Finally: Behind the tent, it’s possible to make out the Sella group and the Cir peaks.

Against the impressive backdrop of the Dolomites and the breathtaking scenery, everyone can experience enthusiasm for outdoor sports and feel “At Home Outdoors”.

Devil in the Details – the soundtrack

The ad will once again be set to the song “Devil in the Details” by the American band “The Walkabouts” – but this time it will appear as a new cover version.
