This reduces the weight significantly and increases the tear resistance and UV resistance of the fabric. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSince conventional seam tape does not adhere well to silicon coated (tent) fabrics, we have instead used a special yarn that expands when damp to seal the seams.
