The STRATOS LITE III is a roomy, ultra-lightweight tent designed for trekking and bikepacking that sleeps three people. It is made predominantly from recycled materials.

The lightweight, interconnected DAC aluminium poles make the tent really easy to pitch and ensure good wind stability. Very few pegs are required to anchor the tent – a real advantage when you’re pitching it on hard ground. The breathable inner tent and the flysheet are also connected and clip onto the external pole framework.

The flysheet fabric is coated with silicone on both sides. This reduces the weight significantly and increases the tear resistance and UV resistance of the fabric.

Since conventional seam tape does not adhere well to silicon coated (tent) fabrics, we have instead used a special yarn that expands when damp to seal the seams. However, we would also recommend applying an appropriate silicone sealant (available online) to the relevant seams.

WARNING: KEEP ALL FLAMES AND HEAT SOURCES AWAY FROM THIS TENT FABRIC The following precautions should be taken when camping: This tent is made of flame-resistant fabric. It is not fireproof. The fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with a flame source. b. Do not use candles, matches or open flames of any kind in or near a tent. c. Do not cook inside a tent. d. Build campfires downwind and several meters away from a tent and be sure to fully extinguish campfires before leaving a campsite or before retiring for the night. e. Exercise extreme caution when using fuel-powered lanterns or heaters inside a tent and use battery-operated lanterns whenever possible. Always ensure adequate ventilation to avoid risk of suffocation from carbon monoxide poisoning when fuel powered lanterns or heaters are used. f. Do not refuel lanterns, heaters or stoves inside a tent. g. Extinguish or turn off all lanterns before going to sleep. h. Do not smoke in a tent. i. Do not store flammable liquids inside a tent. j. CAUTION: Keep all tent openings clear to allow occupants immediate egress in the event of a fire.
