Men’s 3-in-1 Jackets: One System for Every Weather Condition

Whether you’re on the trail, commuting or travelling – changeable weather is part of the experience. A 3-in-1 jacket is the flexible year round solution for men who want reliable protection outdoors. By combining a weatherproof outer jacket with an insulating inner jacket, you get three wearing options in one system. The integrated system zip allows you to switch layers quickly and adapt the jacket to any activity – from everyday use to weekend hikes.

Technologies and Materials for Maximum Performance
Our 3-in-1 jackets are designed as a technical layering system and offer dependable weather protection in a wide range of conditions – suitable for daily wear as well as longer hiking days.

Weatherproof outer jacket:
The TEXAPORE membrane provides guaranteed waterproof protection (at least 10,000 mm hydrostatic head) and high breathability – ideal for persistent rain, wind and changeable weather, whether you’re on the move in the city or out on the trail.

Insulating inner jacket:
Depending on the model, we use POLARTEC® fleece or wind resistant, padded inner jackets with TEXATHERM insulation. Both options provide reliable warmth and retain their loft even when damp – useful during breaks, cool mornings or transitional seasons.

Sustainable construction:
With recycled components such as TEXAPORE ECOSPHERE and a fully PFC free production process, we reduce environmental impact and rely on durable materials that keep your system ready for years to come – whether you wear it daily or take it on longer trips.

Frequently Asked Questions About the 3-in-1 System
When should I wear which layer?
• Outer jacket only: Lightweight weather protection in mild temperatures or on windy days.
• Inner jacket only: A warming midlayer on dry, cool days or during breaks.
• Combined: Full performance in frost, wind and wet conditions – in winter, in the mountains or on longer outdoor stages.
How warm is a 3 in 1 jacket compared to a winter jacket?
The warmth is modular: fleece works well for moderate cold and active days, while a padded TEXATHERM inner jacket stores significantly more warmth. For very low temperatures, you can add an extra baselayer – especially useful for early starts or higher elevations.
Do all inner jackets fit into all outer jackets (system zip)?
The system length is key: both jackets must have the same designation – “SHORT”, “REGULAR” or, for coats, “EXTRA LONG”. You’ll find this information on the label or in the product description.
Is a 3 in 1 jacket heavier than a regular jacket?
The system is slightly bulkier due to the two layers, but it replaces several individual jackets. You gain more flexibility and can adjust your layers to the weather – practical for everyday use and outdoor trips.
Can I wear the jacket with a heavy backpack?
Yes. Many models feature reinforced shoulder areas and abrasion resistant materials that withstand the pressure of backpack straps and increase durability.
Can I combine the inner jacket with other outer jackets?
Yes, as long as the system length matches. This keeps the system flexible and ensures long term usability, even if you replace individual components.
How sustainable is the 3-in-1 system?
You cover several weather conditions with just one jacket. Since the layers can be worn individually and replaced separately if needed, the lifespan of your gear increases. We also use recycled materials and a PFC free production process.
