Our Fair Wear Foundation membership

We are working together with the Fair Wear Foundation for improved working conditions.

The Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that is engaged in improving the working conditions in the textile and apparel industry on a wide scale. Together with many participants – their member businesses, charitable non-governmental organisations (NGO), employers and employee’s associations in Asia and Europe as well as government representatives – they are developing constructive solutions for production sites worldwide.

As a result, we are committed to actively optimising the working conditions in our supply chain under strict guidelines. We have always relied on stable and long-term relationships with our suppliers – that’s how we are able to work towards improvement measures in joint cooperation. During this process, ourselves and our manufacturers are supported by the FWF and its network on an individual and needs-based basis through the means of advice, knowledge sharing and training programs. Our engagement is verified by external sources due to our membership in the FWF.

Every year, the FWF monitors the business practices of their member brands as well as the working conditions on-site and in partner factories in a “Brand Performance Check”. The results of this review are transparently published online for anyone interested by the Fair Wear Foundation and on our own Jack Wolfskin websites.

Jack Wolfskin has been a member of the Fair Wear Foundation since 2010. During that time we have been awarded ‘leader status’ several times in recognition of our commitment. We work closely with our production partners and monitor our suppliers by carrying out independent audits. Based on the results of these audits, we support our partners with individual measures, in order to drive forward consistent development.
