Future Dye
A more sustainable dyeing process
Dyeing becomes more sustainable thanks to FUTURE DYE – an innovative dyeing process in the manufacturing of textiles.
Conventional dyeing involves either dyeing the spun yarn or even the actual fabric with dye and lots of water. The thread or fabric is placed in containers with a mixture of water, dye and chemicals (in order to fix the colour on the fibres) and is subsequently rinsed to eliminate surplus dye.
FUTURE DYE works by mixing coloured granules with plastic granules to produce a coloured fibre.
Savings: 50-70% in water, 70-80% in chemicals plus energy. The result is a competely dyed thread – UV-stable and colourfast.
