Backpacks with a "BACKLENGTH XS-M" are suitable for a back length of between 42-54 cm.
The back length is measured from the 7th cervical vertebra to the 5th lumbar vertebra or, alternatively, from the shoulder to the top edge of the pelvic bone.

The back length is stated on backpacks which are primarily used on either day trips or treks lasting several days.
