The Alps Crossing Wolf Trail combines athletic challenge with the impressive mountain landscapes of the Central Alps. Over several days, the route covers approximately 120 kilometers from Oberstdorf in the Allgäu Alps to Merano in South Tyrol.

The trail begins in the alpine surroundings of Oberstdorf. From there, the route leads through quiet alpine valleys and across scenic mountain passes towards the Lechtal and Ötztal Alps. Along the way, participants pass alpine meadows, waterfalls, and high-altitude viewpoints as they gradually approach the main ridge of the Alps.

One of the highlights of the route is the crossing into South Tyrol. Here, the landscape begins to change noticeably and the first Mediterranean influences become visible. The final stages lead through sunny valleys above Merano before the hike eventually concludes in the historic spa town. High-alpine trails, impressive mountain passes, and expansive panoramic views define the character of this route.

With long daily stages and significant elevation gain, the route places high demands on physical fitness. Solid endurance, sure-footedness, and experience in alpine terrain are therefore required. The event is not suitable for individuals without hiking experience or without preparation for several consecutive stages in high mountain terrain.

This multi-day hike is organized by Jack Wolfskin in cooperation with ASI Reisen and selected outdoor partners. Jack Wolfskin is responsible for both the concept and the execution of the event and brings extensive experience from outdoor product development, community hikes, and long-distance trail formats.

The number of participants is intentionally limited to ensure an intensive and focused trail experience throughout the entire route. The event is designed for experienced hikers with very good basic fitness, for those who enjoy multi-day trekking tours in alpine terrain, and for anyone who would like to experience a classic Alpine crossing within a structured trail format.
